We are happy to announce that Gregory Scott Griffiths has been appointed as the president of BSR, making him the fifth generation of the family to lead the region’s oldest and most trusted roof repair, maintenance and installation company.
Five Generations of Leadership
BSR was founded in 1913 by Samuel M. Griffiths as a roofing company that specializes in “slag” roofing, a gravel-like material that was in popular use at the time. Slag roofing may be long gone, but we are here to stay. For over 100 years, BSR has proven to be the most trusted name in roofing and other home improvement projects in Central New York and Northern Pennsylvania.
As of January 2019, Gregory Scott Griffiths is taking the reins as the president of BSR. As the fifth generation of Griffiths to take on the role, Greg knows the business inside out. He started his career in BSR as a laborer. He then moved up to roofer, followed by being BSR’s project coordinator. Most recently, he was general manager. We couldn’t be happier knowing that BSR is in good hands.
